Kim retired after 27 years at IBM, achieved an Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. and joined the Dutchess Optometry family in 2009. She started working the front desk and in 2014, became Office Manager. Kim spends most of her time working on business related activities and understanding insurance guidelines. She prides herself on being available to all patients for any reason and enjoys when she has the opportunity to work the front desk and interact with the public.
Terri is a NYS licensed optician, receiving her degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Mater Dei College in 1985. In 2005, she joined the Dutchess Optometry family. Terri is passionate about the optical industry and enjoys educating patients about eyewear. She has great fashion sense and can help you combine style and technology for that perfect pair of glasses. In her sparetime, Terri loves spending time on Lake Ontario with her family.
Heather Sawicky’s optical training began in 2001 as an apprentice under her father, Mark Sawicky. She completed the Career Progression Program through the American Board of Opticianry and became NYS licensed in 2005. Heather became a welcome addition to the Dutchess Optometry family in the summer of 2013. With 15+ years in the optical field, Heather has the experience and knowledge to help you with all your eyeglass needs.
Amy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Marist college. After working several years in the television industry, she sought out a career change and joined our Dutchess Optometry family in 2014 as an Optometric Assistant. She is currently enrolled in The National Academy of Opticianry’s Opthlalmic Career Progression Program as an Apprentice Optician, soon to become NYS licensed. Amy loves new technology and enjoys sharing this with patients.
